After my PDP Pro misadventure this past spring, where I spent an unholy amount of money on a gun that’s so over-sprung it took me having to buy a SECOND comp in order to tame the INCREDIBLE snappiness, along with the Taylor Freelance furniture (magwell & Death Grip backstrap), Holosun EPS full-size (with Calculated Kinetics plate), Streamlight TLR-7X, 2 holsters (1 light-bearing, 1 non). THEN I decided that I was going to turn it into a range gun because I made the decision to get the gun I SHOULD’VE gotten in the 1st place, a Shadow Systems MR920P. So I spent $120 on ANOTHER plate (hand-crafted titanium Eleven 71 Design RMR PDP plate) for ANOTHER optic (Swampfox Justice 2 multi-reticle). Don’t get me wrong, other than Calculated Kinetics, Eleven 71 Design makes THE most AMAZINGLY well-crafted plates on the market, with tolerances so tight, they put Forward Controls Design to SHAME. And the Justice 2 is TOP NOTCH with its awesome multi-reticle system & its ENORMOUS 30mm window (see Humble Marksman’s recent video on it).
But as I stated, all this was done in anticipation of buying a Shadow Systems MR920P or doing a custom build. I decided to go with & listen to my gut this time & NOT let myself get distracted by other guns. It wasn’t easy. I STILL love (& WILL eventually get) the Springfield Echelon. And the Zev OZ9s looked to be strong contenders to dethrone the MR-P. Their full-length stainless chassis & modularity were/are a HUGE plus. THEN, just this past week, Sig came out with their P365 Fuse. FINALLY, a concealable, yet full-sized gun that seemed to be right up my alley. A 4.12 inch barrel on a frame that’s only a half an inch wide. But I kept my eye on the prize. That prize being everything ANYONE could even DREAM of a stock G19 MOS being, also coming with a Radian-style/size comp from the factory.
I placed my order today! I managed the get it for a STEAL from Battlehawk Armory ($915 with shipping & tax)! I’ve already bought a Streamlight TLR-1HL for it & plan to give my EPS a new home atop this AMAZING sidearm. I plan to get either a level 2, light-bearing Tier 1 Concealed Centurion or a Dara duty holster for it. I’ve even stockpiled the 250 rounds of ammo I’ll need to break it in (Federal American Eagle 124 grain).
Pictures to follow when it arrives at the end of next week/beginning of fhe following!
