In todays envirionment I consider it unwise to make connections with gun friendly folks you do not know extremely well. Firearms owners and White Men are on our Communist governments hit list. The Communist Biden regime has told us so.
The term Trust but Verify no longer holds merit as the FBI is using Veterans and others as informers and spys to infiltrate and entrap the unsuspecting and dumb. Even that acqaintance that served back in Desert Storm could be working to infiltrate your group and set you up.
Hell, you might even be one of them. The wise man remains so because he trusts only himself and his God.
That sounds a bit paranoid to me, but I do see your point. I’m an unabashed conservative as well as being a white man who owns several firearms, but I can’t see living my life checking-six every five minutes.

hey @BigAl - I’m here in NW Broward as well. All the same - love tinkering with my guns, strongly dislike having to wake at 8 on a sunday to do the yard in the summer, love hitting the range when the time (and ammo) allows, and am looking forward to making the drive up to that new FWC operated range in Palm Beach County with the electronic targets outdoor ranges up to 300 yards…
A wiser man than me once said “Just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean their not out to get you” I laughed when I first read it years back, now I realize it was a legit warning.

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a stolen car plowed into a gun range early Friday morning in Pompano Beach.
The crash occurred around 2:50 a.m. at Declaration Defense in the 1300 block of Southwest First Court.
Video taken at the scene shows a major mess left behind as it appears the vehicle made it all the way into the building. Glass could be seen scattered about, along with what appeared to be boxes of ammunition and other debris.
Not 2 weeks prior, wife and I stopped in this place and were standing right where that car smashed that counter.
I usually go to Shoot Straight off of 441 and 595. Only thing I’m worried about there is all the weed heads driving into me in the parking lot. It’s surprising how many customers reek at that place.
Only been there once. That’s where I did the shoot part of my cc course. It’s a cool store. I always forget to stop in when I’m down in Hollywood.
