might look good on a grey frame… any plans for a silver frame? :star_struck:

Sweet. When it first hit I checked to see if the slide was available by itself and it was not. Now I can scrap my plans to sand blast a black slide. I love a stainless slide on a black frame.

Noice

The stainless slide mentioned by the OP is a stainless PVD coating. It’s not a raw stainless steel slide.

Following the OP’s link, the product Details state:

Slide Material: Stainless Steel
Slide Finish: Stainless

And Features state:

Made from high-quality stainless steel

Is it perhaps both (which doesn’t really make sense either)?

The slide is made of raw stainless steel, then a PVD stainless steel coating is applied.
That’s what I think is meant.

I can’t find that in the product description anywhere - where are you seeing that?

This PSA Dagger Slide is complete, with a barrel and recoil assembly, ready to install on your PSA Dagger frame, and includes our

Stainless finish.

But that’s just canned language, this is from the FDE slide:

Slide is complete, with a barrel and recoil assembly, ready to install on your PSA Dagger frame and includes a FDE finish.

This is from the American Flag slide:

This PSA Dagger Slide is complete, with a barrel and recoil assembly, ready to install on your PSA Dagger frame, and includes our new battle-worn American Flag cerakote.

So not sure how them saying it includes “Stainless finish” means it’s some kind of PVD or somesuch?

It’s what it is… Stainless PVD. I even verified with the pistol operations manager.

They do need to make some product pages more clear. Like they keep saying Ameriglo 1/3 cowitness sights. They are 1XL’s. 1/3 or not depends on optic. For my 509T, yeah, more like I gotta add 1+3 and get a 4XL sight for that.

ah i was thinking of the one you had posted on facebook.

So to be clear: the slide is carbon steel with a PVD coating.

This is disappointing. I’m not one to complain much, but the description for this product is misleading. This has been a real problem among some firearm OEM’s lately. So I’m not just referring to PSA when I say this. I was looking hard at a Mossberg shotgun months ago that was described as “Stainless” when it was in fact a stainless colored Cerakote coating. Frustrating. Buyer beware I suppose.
:frowning:

All Dagger slides are stainless steel. The product description is only lacking the words “pvd coating”

The description needs to be updated to include the

" Stainless steel slide with PVD coating"

Not everyone knows this so the current description needs to be revised IMHO
