I REALLY wanted the Law Tactical, but they were vapor ware when I bought the Sylvan from PSA.
Seeing them available now just depresses me.
I noticed a few weeks ago after shooting that the buffer was hitting the retainer pin in the folder. It’s my understanding that the retainer pin in my PSA lower “could” have been drilled slightly off location, shifting the folder/buffer tube, and/or my bolt carrier may be slightly out of spec. That’s here nor there right now…This isn’t a complaint about PSA…After all, once you start modifying things, it’s all on you. For all I know the Sylvan extender could be short…
I have removed the retainer pin in the Sylvan folder because I felt if left in place, it could break. Which essentially renders the folder pretty much useless.
Sylvan has sent me a new pin, and an ID retainer nut that screws into the buffer tube to retain the buffer and spring.
This is really a FYI/PSA. (Public Service Announcement) If that little nub were to break off and make its way into the lower, chaos could ensue.
If you have the Sylvan Arms Folder, keep an eye on your buffer/retainer pin in the folder itself.
