Dagger frame w/o trigger group (serial begin with ‘jje’)
LFA Combat 19 slide
Bear creek threaded barrel
P80 flat face trigger w/ bar
Suppressor height sights (soon to come venom rmr)
Trigger reset issue: while holding trigger down and press checking slide, Exhibited symptoms of runaway/ auto fire. I fixed it by changing the angle of the trigger bar where it contacts the striker. It wasn’t until I fixed it that I found a YouTube comment saying that this may actually be a problem with the frame, which increases my suspicion that it’s cause by the location of the rear trigger housing pin.
The only slight issue that remains, is the slide binds slightly returning to battery on the trigger bar when trigger held firmly on trigger
Does anyone know how are trigger reset failures being fixed by PSA when reported? Are they replacing the frame or just adjusting the trigger crossbar like I did?
You bent the sear of the cruciform up slightly to improve the engagement with the lug of the firing pin.
The observation with respect to the slide hitting the trigger bar is interesting. My frame only fails the trigger reset function check when I pull the trigger firmly and completely. If I only pull the trigger to the point it breaks, the trigger resets fine.
PSA would’ve sent you a prepaid return shipping label in order to return your frame. PSA is telling customers that they’ve replaced the trigger without any specifics.
I suspect you misinterpreted the YouTube comment. I will message you privately for the specifics.
With all those after market parts I can’t see how this is a PSA issue. Maybe if you had a complete Lower. Not all aftermarket slides are machined to the exact same specs, even though they are marketed to the same generation of glocks.
That’s an excellent point. I glossed over the “P80 flat face trigger w/ bar” part. I should’ve said, “Had your frame included a Dagger trigger, PSA would’ve sent you a prepaid return shipping label …”. I’m not aware of any reason to think the Trigger Reset Function Check Failure is related to the frame.
My frame that exhibits Trigger Reset Function Check Failure is a complete Dagger frame (with a Dagger trigger). It fails the Trigger Reset Function Check Failure in conjunction with an OEM Glock G19 gen3 upper.
I thought the same until I ran across this comment. I fixed my reset failure, but now leftwondering if it really were the aftermarket parts or the frame
Like all gun manufacturers, a specific firearm is made to work with specific parts. However, the aftermarket industry is huge. Having said that, magpul mags don’t always work in glocks. Is that glocks fault? Nope. My advise is to try a PSA trigger and go from there.
I seemed to have just fixed this issue too. While the piling tolerances on my aftermarket parts are probably the root cause, the solution was adjusting the slide catch spring in the frame… I pushed it down a little bit and voila smooth, buttery slide action!
