My LGS is carrying Dagger pistols and frames. I went to buy a frame and the salesperson I was working with grabbed a gen 3 Glock 19 slide. We mounted it on the frame and it would not operate the trigger. I bought it anyway. At home I mounted my gen 3 slide on it and it would reset the trigger when the slide went forward. On the complete Glock it resets the trigger when the slide is retracted. Despite that I took the Dagger frame with Glock slide installed and went to the range with 100 rounds. Gun fired all flawlessly.
So no problem but I’m wondering why the weird trigger reset issue?
By the way, the better ergos of the Dagger improved my accuracy as I thought it would.
Depends on what you mean exactly. You should hear one reset no matter if you’re holding the trigger down or not, as the slide comes back. You should not hear a reset style click coming forward if you don’t hold the trigger down. If you hold it down and let it forward, the let the trigger go, you hear another click.
If you’re hearing and seeing anything besides that happening, check for strange wear points in the slide and frame, and take the frame apart to check the trigger housing and the connector bend/protrusion. I’ve had one Dagger connector be out of spec, actually bad enough it wouldn’t stay bent in so I had to replace it with an OEM Glock one. Also lube the connector/trigger bar contact points.
I’ve got a Gen 5 Glock and two Daggers, neither of them reset the trigger as the slide comes back, only the trigger bar clicking back up as the connector is pushed in.
