Evening All - Recently installed a Glock OEM trigger assembly, Ghost standard 3.5 connector. The trigger resets and fires EXCEPT for when I pull and keep the trigger pressed back when racking the slide. Any ideas on what may be causing this? Any thoughts much appreciated.
Try an OEM connector. I see WAY too many issues out of the ghost connectors. It may also just need adjustment as connectors can be out of spec and be adjusted in spec (assuming the metal will keep it’s shape when bent properly).
Yeah I’m thinking will try to reinstall w all the steps and if doesn’t work bail on the ghost connector and plug oem back in. They are pretty slicked, and I think they have less thickness than the oem connector, thinking they are just not a good fit w the dagger.
Couldnt wait for feedback lol so I tinkered away.
Reinstalled the Ghost connecter and glock oem trigger and the reset issue is not solved. Double checked everything. Removed the Ghost connector and reinstalled PSA factory connector long with glock oem trigger. Reset issue resolved.
Comparing the two connectors side by side - the Ghost connector appears to be thinner and is not riding as close to the trigger bar as the PSA connector.
Things I should have done but did not since I was getting crap from my wife about holing up in the basement -
I) Measure thickness of connectors. I am fairly certain the thinness of the ghost connector gives it too much play between the trigger housing and trigger bar. Maybe bending the metal would solve but am not sure and dont want to mess with that. Maybe a different trigger housing would tighten up against a ghost connector, am not sure.
II) Take photos. No photos, my bad.
Maybe this thread will help someone, but my takeaway is that unless I am replacing the housing or bending the metal I dont see the ghost connector working in my lower.
THANK YOU for reporting the fix. This will help someone else in the future with the same issue.
Bending a connector is a normal thing for proper fitment. Since each trigger bar and housing have slight differences in them. That’s what I was referring to when mentioning spec. Johnny Glock has good intel on that stuff on Youtube.
That said, I still see too many issues with the Ghost connectors. One of my Dagger’s connectors wouldn’t stay bent for more than a few rounds/slide racks once I did make it in spec. I’ve even seen that issue on OEM Glocks. It is a cheap and easy part to replace anyway.
Johnny Glocks content is great. Learned most of my trigger work there honestly. Will check out their connector info. I held on to the ghost connector, may futz with it for the sake of futzing with it and learning.
