Unable to hand cycled live ammo

I finally got my ks47 (psa ks47 upper/lower/bcg/barrel) together and ran into an issue. It has a hard time fully chambering a round and I cant eject the unspent casing without mortaring it. I also noticed the coating on the bolt lugs is heavily worn after hand “cycling” 5-10 rounds through it. Anyone else have this problem? Seems like a bcg issue as the bcg causes the same issue when swapped into a friends complete ks47 upper that otherwise functions flawlessly and smoothly.

What are you using for lube?

If your friend has a PSA barrel, please send me a PM. I will get you taken care of.

Hoppes grease on the carrier, oil on the bolt/chamber

I’m having the same problem with a bcg from a ks47 builder kit.

ETA: I should add this particular bcg had the same problem in a complete ks47 upper that I bought from PSA. I was having trouble with that upper not ejecting. So before I sent the upper back I tried the bcg from the builders kit. Fast forward I used the builders kit to build an upper using a Green Mountain barrel and I am having the same problem. So that tells me that the problem is with the bcg. Also as I cycle it the problem seems to get better so I’m hoping that after a few hundred rounds it goes away.

Iam not a gunsmith…but I have measured both my AR bolt carrier and my KS47 bolt carrier….and they are different specifications. You MUST have a KS47 carrier for proper bolt alignment.
Iam not sure what the issue is with yours…but I have encountered too many people who mistakenly try to use an AR bolt carrier with a x39 bolt thinking it will work….normally it will not.
This was my first thought….good luck and let us know what you learn.

Read the post I used the bcg that came with the builders kit.

I suggest you contact Customer Service (they are not on these forums).

Noticed this issue, too. It seems like if you ride the charging handle, even a little bit, it seats the round wrong for some reason. Mortared it and let the charging handle fly the next time I cocked it. It hasn’t happened since.

you should never ride the charging handle to chamber a round.
