What's the point of selling 10/30 mags instore?

I can get having them online for sale to states with 10rnd limits, but not having them in the store when there isn’t a limit. seems like it takes up a slot that could be better used for something else.

I just picked up 10 mag in store because online is back order. Was looking at safes and there they were!!!

The Brick-and-Mortar Storefronts and the Online Storefront are not the same Entities. For Tax (and practicality!) purposes, they pretty much HAVE TO be run as separate companies.

Way back years ago, when I was working for Giant Evil Retail, Inc, the Department I was in charge of was even run as a “Store Within a Store” and we paid Rent based on our floorspace and product stock.

The Manager usually has discretion to stock what they believe there is a demand for - within limitations of course.

Obviously, SOMEONE is buying the 10-rounders….

Having a product in the Store doesn’t mean it’s in the warehouse as well.

Believe it or not, but some of us actually use our guns to hunt. I don’t want or need the added weight and bulk of a 30.

Thats me. I carry 10rd when deer hunting. 30 when predator hunting.

People traveling on vacay or work might stop in to grab a few things while they’re in the area? I’ve drug the wife and kiddos thru a few gun or tool stores on family trips! Lol

i’m not talking about the short 10rnders, I’m talking about the 30rnd mags pinned to 10rnds.

Someone correct me if i’m wrong but I think that DNR public lands have a limit. I honestly don’t remember since I don’t frequent them, and probably would just carry a short anyway.

Idk. I think OP has a point though.

I really don’t get this. Why waste money on a 10 round mag specifically when you can use a high capacity round mag and just put however many rounds that you want to carry in the magazine? As long as you only have the proper amount of rounds in the magazine to comply with whatever regulations that you are concerned with then you should be good to go. If you check the current SCDNR regulations there is NO magazine limit when hunting deer, coyotes or hogs on private or on WMA land. Also there is NO caliber limit when hunting private land for deer, coyotes or hogs. Anyone who tells you different hasn’t read the current SCDNR regulations on hunting in SC. If you travel in a state that has a magazine ban on any magazine over 10 rounds then that makes sense to me to have a few 10 round mags. Other than that I don’t understand owning 10 round mags in a state that has no limit. If you have a SC CWP or another states CWP that has reciprocity with SC you can carry a sidearm on WMA lands at any time with no magazine limits.

I have a 10-round AR mag specifically for shooting off the bench; 30-round mags are awkwardly long to shoot from a rest.

I also have a short, capacity-challenged magazine for my PC carbine for the same reason.

I think PA you have to have a plug soyou can’t load over the limit.

Yep shotguns come with 3 Rd hunting plug. Even my 18.5" home defense gun, took it out, and tube holds five 2-3/4" shells.

i would just get a short… but 15/20 for colorado is as good as it gets

I have heard some use them for some types of training. I got no details as to how. I have short mags, but none pinned; a couple of10s. . I have absolutely no reason to own any pinned mags, so far. I know the 10s are cheaper than the 10/30s.

they are so californians can train using a magazine that’s just like the one hidden under their mattress but legal to take to their range
