Where’s the Ammo Plant Gonna Be Located?

I’m in for 5.45x39, 5.56/223, 6.5 Grendel-- and several more! Gotta love PSA for doing this!

Lots of calibers and configurations are available for purchase on the PSA website under AAC ammo.

welcome to the forum @scottlessman glad to have you.

So we getting 7.62x51 cartridge?

Eventually - I’d guess this year if the supply chain holds up. Hoping they get their 6.5 Creedmore going too (and 6.5 Grendel, and 7.62x39 …). My money will be gone (edit: it’s already mostly gone)

Thank you! Excited to see the ammo plant humming- Great job!

lol… one has to have had money to begin with to see it go, and honestly i dont think i ever had it to watch it get gone. lol.

I sure hope 55Grain 5 .56mm and some 62 Grain 5 56mm without a Steel Core are produced.

I like to shoot indoors on bad weather days and I’m not keen on using .223 or 55 Grain 5 56mm in AR’s with Tighter twists.

My Indoor places screen against Green Tip Ammo for Safety reasons.

I got a few cases of 62gr sp laquered barnaul some years back in the Before Times. Has been great stuff for general purpose use. Does a number on pigs and isnt terribly harsh on steel. Groups better than most steel and some cheaper brass out past 300.

Got mine from SGammo.com but you may find it secondhand. Think it came out to 28 cents a pop after tax and shipping in 2019

IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER! And Yes this is a complete sentence.

Thanks for the 411 sharing…I’ll keep an eye out for them.

Just bumping to see if the steel 7.62x39 is still on track for June/July?

I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning :joy:

I cannot WAIT for 7.62 and 5.45 to finally come online!!! :metal::metal::goat::goat:

I haven’t heard. It is a good sign that they have 45 running now.

Maybe I’m living a pipe dream, but am very anxious for 6.5 Grendel.

It’s my understanding that the 7.62x39 and 5.45 steel cased will be under the Soviet Arms branding and not the AAC. It’s a small distinction, but one that should be noted. Not sure how they will brand the steel cased 6.5. Does PSA offer an AK platform in 6.5?

AK, no. AR, yes. Its a bit funky in an AR but still fun and is a solid option. Would love to see it in an AK but it’s a bit niche.

I remember being able to get an AR in 6.5 Grendel quite a number of years ago, and it took me until this year to actually get one (PSA, of course). The only thing I don’t like is the price of match or hunting ammo; although, Prvi Partizan has some 110 and 120 gr that’s not too bad.

Lastly, Serbia appears to have adopted 6.5G for their Army (the M19 modular in both 6.5x39 and 7.62x39):

Ok, now THAT is interesting. I didn’t hear about Serbia doing that. Color me intrigued. Stands to reason that they would be a likely future source for some diverse loadings on top of already being a player in the imported ammo market.

It may be a little longer off, but I’m 100% sure PSA will absolutely make some Grendel ammo.
