I want to install an optic to my psa dagger. Just wondering what thread and size screw they take. I believe my dagger is an rmr cut.
I always use the ones supplied by the optic mfg themselves. The recess in the optic may be at a different angle compared to how the Dagger screws are countersunk for one. And two, with my Holosun I first mounted, the Dagger screws were too long.
Not sure why PSA would just blanket statement to use their screws for any optic.
ISO screw countersinks are 90+2 degrees. The archaic imperial system uses 82 degrees. Any deviation from the standard will over-stress the fasteners and is poor engineering.
The original poster needs to keep track of the side the original screws as Glock compatible slides are asymetrical due to the extractor interfering with the depth of the screw tap.
Use screws included with optic.
Last time I ordered an optic they sent only metric. My S&a shield required 6-32-.374. So I had to call the optic people to send me out those screws. I’m guessing since psa iscsmerican they’ll use murican threads too. My box has several different types in it would be nice just know so I don’t have to guess which to start with.
as others have said, i always use whatever screws that came with the optic.
it always has worked for me without issue.
best of luck.
Using either screws does not countermand the big bold statement on the bag. I’ve kept that bag and tag around for years because it cracks me up. Somebody somewhere thought it gave instructions, directions, rule, whatever but it really says nothing.
