Why doesn't PSA use a thread locker on their guns?! HUH?

I don’t understand why PSA doesn’t use a thread locker. Anything that’s threaded will come loose eventually. There have been many times where I had to take apart the gun because of threaded components become loose on assembled uppers such as, gas blocks and handguards.

It’s a known fact they use a gorilla to put on their muzzle devices. In fact, @Josiah_PSA , I think we need a Gorilla meme lower…

I assume LoneGun lives in the Cali heat or something, because there’s no darn way anything, without a blow torch, is coming loose on a PSA product anywhere else…

I’ve bent wrenches (not a joke) getting their barrel nuts loose… holy …

LoneGun, as for small/critical parts on pre-assembled rifles (uppers/lowers/etc.), I would recommend always checking those before use, regardless of manufacturer. It will ensure the pew goes bang when/if you truly need it one day, and gives you an excuse to work on guns. Win-win.

The BCG’s are staked properly, other than that most of us PSA customers take our guns apart and put them back together in different configurations all the time. I second AudiblePop, the barrel nuts are on WAY tight, I prefer around 40 foot pounds myself.

My A2 was a bit difficult to cut off :joy:

It takes five minutes to loosen the handguard screws, slide it off and loctite the gas block set screws and the handguard bolts. I do it to all of them.
