You shouldn’t need the plate, pics are a big help here. If possible post the following:
Pic of slide showing the optic cut
Pic of the bottom of the optic
Pic of the optic on the slide (no plate)
Do the holes line up? *when using the plate?
Yes.
At this point I’d say we can take 1 of two routes.

I can get an RMA setup and bring your slide in and check its specs, though if the plate fits in it that tells me its correct.

Check out your local hardware store for a longer#6-32 bolt.
ADE says their RD3-012 optic fits the Doctors Cut and I’ve seen plenty of them mounted on our slides. I don’t recall anyone saying it was overly tight or anything like that though. It doesn’t appear that is missing by much so I wonder if they changed their finish or maybe this one is just painted extra thick. Almost wonder if hitting the front and back of the optic with a bit of sand paper is the answer here. If you want us to bring the slide in and check the measurements just let me know and I will PM you the details.

I read that the Vortex Viper works on the doctor cut. Is that we others have found to be true?

I bought an ADE RD3-006B and had the exact same issue. It was about 1/32" too long to fit without the plate. The screws were just barely long enough to mount it with the plate, but they weren’t long enough to mount both the plate and the rubber cushion provided with the sight. I returned it and expect delivery on a Crimson Trace CTS-1550 tomorrow.

This reminds me of the Beta vs. VHS wars with the complexity of the multi-alliance 17th century European wars thrown in.

Do the daggers come with the mounting screws for a red dot I order a pistol a bought a venom separately

Can someone please help me resolve this problem. I bought the Holosun 407 red dot and I have a PSA dagger with the docter/noblex cut slide. I do not want to give up my Holosun red dot but it has the RMR footprint. Is there any adapter plate out there that will accommodate my needs. I do not want to give up the Holosun red dot.
No. You have to buy the right optic for the right slide. If you have to stick with holosun you need the RMR cut slide.

Dang okay. Not whatI wanted to hear lol so there’s no adapter plate on the market that will convert a RMR red dot sight to mount to a doctor/noblex cut slide??
There are, but i have no idea if they fit the PSA slide, and they will raise your optic up even higher.
Yep bought mine with DR cut and once recieved sink in to the reality that I wouldn’t be able to have a Holosun…. Had to go with the vortex…. Would have much rather had the shake awake design! May be purchasing a new carry cuts RMR cut slide soon
