The Model 1895 is the tried-and-true configuration of Marlin's famous .45-70 Government rifle. The Model 1895 features a 22" barrel with deep-cut Ballard-type rifling, solid-top receiver, deeply blued metal surfaces, side ejection, and hammer block safety. The Model 1895 also features an American black walnut stock, pistol grip with fluted comb, cut checkering, rubber rifle butt pad, and swivel studs. When you combine all of the features of the Model 1895 you are given the ideal rifle for big game hunting, ex. bear, deer, hog, and moose.
