The innovative Aero Taper Lock Attachment System (Atlas) delivers both functionality and style. It features two mirrored tapered locking nuts that evenly distribute clamping pressure across a custom-engineered barrel nut, which is secured using a turnbuckle screw. A ratcheting detent further enhances the system's security, providing positive registration during installation. The Atlas system's even pressure design prevents handguard distortion, a common issue seen with traditional mounting systems. Atlas handguards are designed to seamlessly pair with Aero Precision's M4E1 threaded upper receivers, though they are also compatible with Mil-Spec AR-15 upper receivers. However, due to indexing tabs, they may not be compatible with billet upper receivers.
