Featuring our exclusive Aero taper lock Attachment system, these handguards provide a slim profile without sacrificing strength or stability, offering the reliability that Aero Precision handguards are known for. The innovative Aero taper lock system uses two mirrored tapered locking nuts that distribute clamping pressure evenly across a custom-designed barrel nut, secured with a turnbuckle screw. Additionally, a ratcheting detent ensures secure registration during installation. This system prevents the handguard distortion commonly seen with traditional mounting methods. All necessary hardware is included with the purchase of an R-ONE handguard and it is designed to pair perfectly with our M5 (.308 Cal) threaded upper receivers, though it may not be compatible with billet upper receivers due to indexing tabs.
