The Aero taper lock attachment system is the key to their reliability, maintaining a slim form factor while providing superior strength. Featuring two mirrored tapered locking nuts, this system ensures consistent clamping pressure across a specially engineered barrel nut, with a turnbuckle screw for added security. A ratcheting detent enhances installation accuracy and holds the system firmly in place. By distributing clamping pressure evenly, the Aero taper lock system prevents handguard distortion that can occur with conventional methods. The R-ONE handguard comes with all necessary mounting hardware and is designed to fit perfectly with our M5 (.308 Cal) threaded upper receivers, though it may not be compatible with billet upper receivers due to indexing tabs.
