The Aero Precision M5E1 6.5 Creedmoor upper receiver serves as the foundation for a lightweight, precision target rifle. It is chambered for the 6.5mm Creedmoor cartridge, renowned for its accuracy and popularity in the long-range target shooting community. This upper receiver is compatible with DPMS Gen 1 LR-308 lower receivers and their clones and it accommodates a DPMS-compatible Bolt carrier group (BCG) and charging handle, which are not included to allow users the flexibility to select their preferred components. Each unit is equipped with a premium 416R stainless steel target barrel featuring a 1:8 twist rate, designed to stabilize a wide range of popular target bullets. Additionally, the extended gas system reduces gas velocity, promoting smoother and more reliable cycling while minimizing wear on the gas block, BCG and receiver.
