The Arisaka momentary tail cap serves as a replacement switch compatible with the Arisaka 300, 600, 18350 and 18650 series light bodies, as well as Surefire scout lights. This model is specifically engineered for momentary activation, with a twist mechanism for constant illumination. The tail cap can be fully threaded to enable constant light or unscrewed approximately two turns to prevent unintentional activation during storage or transport. Momentary-only switches are favored by many weapon instructors due to their streamlined operation, eliminating the risk of inadvertently engaging the light fully, as can occur with switches like the Surefire Z68 or Arisaka Clicky tail cap.

Securely attach the momentary tailcap to the flashlight body by threading it until the light is activated
Rotate the tailcap counterclockwise by 0.5 turns - 1.5 turns to achieve the desired switch travel and tactile feedback
The illumination will remain active while the button is continuously pressed
