Features
The Patented Arisaka zero retention clamp (ZRC) is designed to effectively mitigate zero shift for lasers and iron sights mounted on handguards. Not compatible with the Rattler, the MCX Virtus and Spear LT handguards lack adequate upper receiver security, allowing noticeable flex when minor pressure is applied. This flex can cause a significant shift of 5 mils or more while the rifle is shouldered, with the zero occasionally failing to return to its original position once pressure is released. Comprising exterior clamps that thread into a specialized U-bracket, the Arisaka ZRC engages the extended upper receiver beneath the handguard. This mechanism tightly secures the handguard to the upper receiver along two axes, effectively minimizing or completely eliminating zero shift. Crucially, the U-bracket avoids contact with the barrel or gas system, thereby preserving the free-floated barrel configuration. ZRC clamps are expertly contoured to minimize interference with the user's hands during handguard grip, ensuring optimal comfort and control.
