The Benelli M2 Tactical shotgun makes the perfect addition to the home-defense arsenal or for 3-gun competition. It utilizes Benelli's renowned Inertia Driven system. This extremely reliable action is composed of just 3 main parts – the bolt body, inertia spring, and rotating bolt head – and harnesses the inertia of recoil to cycle the next round. This simple, yet robust system eliminates the need to make adjustments, and is able to handle the lightest field loads to heavy magnum shells. The Inertia Driven System prevents residue from entering the action and ensures the gas, smoke, and burnt powder remain in the barrel. This makes the Inertia Driven System run significantly cleaner than gas systems.
Other features of the M2 Tactical include 18.5 inch barrel, which in turn gives the weapon a short overall length of just 39.75 inches. This gives M2 Tactical excellent CQC abilities, which are further enhanced by the pistol grip and a set of open rifle sights to promote faster target acquisition and engagement. Furthermore, the M2 Tactical comes standard with a Crio choke to help tighten shot-pattern concentration.
