Machined from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with Type III hard-coat anodizing, this charging handle is engineered for strength, smooth operation, and long service life. Its 2.59-inch latch width provides a generous gripping surface, while the ambidextrous design supports confident use by right- or left-handed shooters. The Sledgehammer incorporates multiple gas-reducing features to help redirect excess gas away from the shooter’s face. A raised rear shelf helps block escaping gas, a keyway cutout helps prevent gas from flowing over the shelf, patented internal stem baffling slows gas expansion, and dedicated pressure ports with aggressive relief cuts vent gas away from the shooter.
