The set of three specialized center punches is crafted with external diameters that match the clearance drill sizes for the most frequently used sight, rib and scope base mounting screws. These punches are designed to be parallel-sided and feature a 60 degree angle, enabling them to effectively penetrate even the thickest handgun ribs. Each punch is 2-3/4 inches long and has a body diameter of 1/4 inches. To use these punches, first secure the firearm in a vise or scope mounting jig, ensuring it is level. Next, position and level the sight, rib or base and clamp it securely in place. Insert the appropriately sized punch into the hole and gently tap it with a 4 oz hammer. Afterward, remove the base and proceed to drill and tap the first hole. Reinstall the base and check its alignment. If the alignment is correct, re-clamp the base and complete the remaining holes.

The comprehensive hole center punch set includes diameters as follows - #6 = 0.14 inches, #8 = 0.162 inches and #10 = 0.19 inches
