The 1911 government model is as tough as they come, but when you remove the grips for a little polishing, rebluing or to add a new set of grips, it's common for the stock frame bushing to become stripped. Additionally, when you take out the frame bushings for the ultimate polishing job, you'll likely find yourself needing replacements.
