The critical bore and chamber areas are hard-chromed to prevent corrosion, make cleaning easier and reduce long-term wear. These barrels are button rifled from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel and feature a .223 Wylde chamber, capable of handling both .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm ammunition. With a 1:8 twist rate, they can stabilize bullets ranging from 55 gr FMJ up to 77 gr premium projectiles. The .625 gas block journal ensures a light, balanced carbine, while the 1/2-28 muzzle threads fit a wide range of muzzle devices. Additionally, the M4 feedramps provide smooth cycling with compatible uppers.
