The Brownells single action gas ring stretcher employs hardened steel jaws to swage and extend the gas ring, ensuring a more secure frame-to-cylinder fit on single-action revolvers. This tool addresses significant cylinder wear or stretched frames, thereby enhancing the firearm's fit, function and accuracy. Additionally, it reduces excessive headspace resulting from overly deep chamber cuts. The use of a heavy-duty bench vise is required for operation. This product is compatible with Ruger single actions featuring a 1/4 inches diameter base pin and can be adapted for use with 3rd generation Colt and other cylinders with an integral gas ring. The jaws of the Brownells Single Action Gas Ring Stretcher are also available for individual purchase.
