The Daniel Defense DD5 Rifle advances the DD line into the realm of long-range precision with a semi-automatic platform built for demanding shooters. The V5 variant, chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, is engineered for accuracy and consistency at extended distances. An adjustable gas block allows precise gas regulation for reliable performance when shooting suppressed or unsuppressed.
Both the upper and lower receivers are CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with a Type III hard coat anodizing for strength and durability. The barrel is cold hammer forged from Daniel Defense proprietary steel, featuring a chrome-lined bore and a heavy phosphate exterior coating for extended service life. A DLC-coated bolt carrier group enhances durability while promoting smooth, efficient cycling.
The free-floated handguard incorporates M-LOK attachment points along with a full-length Picatinny top rail, providing ample space for mounting optics, night vision or thermal devices, lights, and lasers. Completing the system is Daniel Defense’s Superior Suppression Device, designed to reduce both muzzle flash and muzzle rise during rapid fire.
