Accurate, durable, and hard-hitting, the Daniel Defense Hunter 6.8 blends proven AR15 design with features tailored for modern sporting and hunting applications. Built around an 18 inch cold hammer forged barrel, the Hunter 6.8 utilizes modern SPEC II chamber dimensions to safely accommodate higher-pressure 6.8 SPC loads while maintaining consistent accuracy and reliability. A mid-length gas system helps provide smooth operation and balanced recoil characteristics.
The barrel is protected by the MFR 15.0 free-floating handguard, offering a continuous Picatinny top rail and M-LOK attachment points along the sides and bottom for mounting optics and accessories as needed. Threaded 5/8x24 at the muzzle, the barrel includes a knurled thread protector that can be removed for the installation of a suppressor or alternate muzzle device.
From the factory, the Hunter 6.8 is equipped with a Geissele Super Semi-Automatic two-stage trigger, an ambidextrous safety selector, and an independently ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle to support both left- and right-handed operation. Ergonomic Daniel Defense buttstock and pistol grip complete the rifle, which is finished in a hydro-dipped Kryptek Highlander camo pattern for a distinctive field-ready appearance.
