They are precision-machined from extruded aluminum, providing picatinny slot-and-rail spacing that facilitates quick and straightforward adjustments to eye relief, as well as extensive flexibility in scope selection. The bases are pre-drilled to align with the factory scope mount holes on the firearm's receiver and are compatible with both picatinny and weaver scope rings. The heavy-duty mounts are designed to be 0.10 inches lower than the lightweight versions, reducing weight and positioning the optic closer to the barrel centerline for enhanced accuracy. The full-width cross-slots adhere to MIL-STD1913 specifications with a tolerance of +/- 0.002 inches. Constructed from ultra-rigid extruded 7075-T6 aluminum, the package includes socket head Torx screws and a wrench. EGW advises applying 20 in-lb of torque and a drop of blue Loctite for optimal installation.
