They are precision-machined from extruded aluminum and feature picatinny slot-and-rail spacing, facilitating quick and straightforward adjustments to eye relief and providing extensive flexibility in scope selection. The bases are pre-drilled to align with the factory scope mount holes on the firearm's receiver and are compatible with both picatinny and weaver scope rings. The heavy-duty mounts are 0.10 inches lower than the lightweight versions, reducing weight and positioning the optic closer to the barrel centerline, thereby enhancing accuracy. The full-width cross-slots are manufactured to MIL-STD-1913 specifications with a tolerance of +/- 0.002 inches. Constructed from ultra-rigid extruded 7075-T6 aluminum, the package includes socket head Torx screws and a wrench. EGW advises applying 20 in-lb of torque and a drop of blue Loctite for optimal installation.
