EGW Remington 870, 1100, 1187 Heavy Duty scope bases offer the adaptability of a one-piece picatinny scope rail for your shotgun, eliminating the need for drilling or tapping. These bases are precision-machined from extruded aluminum, featuring picatinny slot-and-rail spacing that facilitates quick and straightforward adjustments to eye relief, providing extensive flexibility in scope selection. They are pre-drilled to align with the factory scope mount holes on the shotgun's receiver and are compatible with both picatinny and weaver scope rings. The Heavy Duty mounts are designed to be 0.10 inches lower than the lightweight mounts, reducing weight and positioning the optic closer to the barrel centerline, thereby enhancing accuracy. The full-width cross-slots conform to MIL-STD-1913 specifications with a tolerance of +/-0.002 inches. Constructed from ultra-rigid extruded 7075-T6 aluminum, the package includes socket head Torx screws and a wrench. EGW advises applying 20 in-lb of torque and a drop of blue Loctite for optimal installation.
