These bases are precisely crafted from extruded aluminum and feature picatinny slot-and-rail spacing, allowing for quick and easy adjustments to eye relief and offering significant flexibility in scope selection. They are pre-drilled to align with the factory scope mount holes on Winchester model 70 long action rifles, specifically those with a 0.860 inches hole spacing on the front and rear receiver rings. Compatible with both picatinny and weaver scope rings, these Heavy Duty mounts are designed to be 0.1 inches lower than the lightweight mounts, thereby reducing weight and positioning your optic closer to the barrel centerline for improved accuracy. The full-width cross-slots are manufactured to MIL-STD 1913 specifications with a tolerance of +/-0.002 inches. Constructed from ultra-rigid extruded 7075-T6 aluminum, the package includes socket head Torx screws and a wrench. EGW recommends applying 20 in-lb of torque and a drop of blue Loctite for optimal installation.
