Introducing the latest addition to the EGW product line - the Hunter series picatinny scope mount. Recognizing the demand for a shorter, lighter and robust picatinny scope mount, EGW has developed this innovative solution. After extensive prototyping and testing, the Hunter mount was created. Key features include the use of 7075-T6 aluminum, providing a highly durable yet lightweight construction. The type III hardcoat anodizing offers protection against environmental elements. Chamfered edges ensure a snag-free experience during hunts. The compact design reduces the weight by 15% compared to other heavy-duty mounts. This mount is ambidextrous, featuring a bevel on both sides. The bolt pattern on the Remington 700 long action mount is compatible with long action Remington 700 rifles (e.g., .30-06 Springfield, .300 Win Mag), as well as the 740 and 40x models. It is important to note that the Remington 700 mount is not compatible with the Howa 1500 or Weatherby Vanguard due to differences in the ejection port, length and other specifications. EGW advises verifying the hole spacing on your receiver to ensure compatibility with the published dimensions. The picatinny cross slots extend the full-length of the rail, providing flexibility for mounting scope rings and other accessories. The central channel reduces the overall mass of the mount and, in many cases, does not obstruct the use of factory iron sights. EGW's one-piece scope mounts are ideal for both Hunters and tactical shooters. These mounts are manufactured in-house using advanced machining centers. Post-machining, the mounts undergo tumbling, sandblasting and type III anodizing for enhanced durability.
