Faxon's pencil barrels are celebrated for their exceptional lightweight performance. Meticulously crafted, we engineered the barrel's taper to reduce weight without compromising on performance. The outcome is the lightest barrel available in the industry, proudly bearing the Faxon shield. Our .308 barrels boast a 1:10 inches twist rifling design to ensure full stabilization across a wide range of .308 loadings. They are chambered to .308 Win SAAMI specifications, maximizing versatility for various applications. Manufactured in-house in Cincinnati, each barrel undergoes thorough stress relief, air-gauging and an 11 degree target crown to guarantee superior accuracy. Quality is at the core of our barrels. Beginning with premium materials, certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R stainless, we subject each barrel to rigorous testing throughout production. They are finished in nitride and meticulously inspected before leaving our facility. To ensure precision, every barrel is individually checked for headspace using custom hardened gauges.
