The FMK Patriot II is a new edition to the 9C1 G2 family and is ergonomically built to comfortably fit both large and small hands.  The Patriot II is equipped with a Fast Action trigger mechanism for the shooting enthusiast who prefers a quick short trigger pull with a drop free magazine. Another unique feature is the grip that has a rubberized backstrap. This backstrap not only effectively reduces felt recoil, it hugs and grips the palm of the shooting hand to provide a comfortable, positive grip. The result is a grip that seems to mold to the shooter’s hand, instead of having to mold your hand to fit the grip. The barrel is engineered to sit low for superior point and shoot accuracy and reduced muzzle flip, and the 9C1 G2 has virtually no external protrusions, making it ideal for concealed carry; and of course, it’s Proudly American.

Good after some work but wouldn’t recommend for beginners
This gun was a real problem out the box. Would basically operate as a single shot. Would not go fully into battery 95% of the time. I sent it back to FMK twice, the first time I had to pay S/H. I found a review here where the guy replaced the recoil spring. I did the same with a G19 18lb spring ($9 on EBay) and all is well. It’s finally reliable with all ammo, but no thanks to FMK. They constantly reported no issues and that they would oil the gun and it would run fine. I purchased this bc it was $199 and I was intrigued. In hindsight, I would have been happier getting something else more reliable that had magazine capabilities with something else I already own. The gun shot pretty well once it FINALLY ran consistently. The trigger is terrible and no where close to most other striker fired guns on the market.

Good, but not great.
I bought this because of the price and I wanted to support a home grown company from the USA. Three issues to speak about. First, the extractor was not mounted correctly in the slide (see pics). It worked mostly, but it wouldn't sit flush. Second, the pistol had several failures to feed, failures to extract, and failures to go into battery during the first 150 rounds I used...and I can attest, it would not reliably shoot Winchester "whitebox" ammo or any other high pressure +P ammo as noted in the owner's manual. Primarily I was using CCI Blazer and Fiocchi 115 grain. Third, Palmetto State Armory is apparently not an "authorized FMK dealer" which means that your lifetime warranty becomes a "limited" lifetime warranty and doesn't include shipping. After back and forth for about a week with FMK customer service regarding the issues, they finally requested that I pay to ship them the slide for inspection and repair. The good thing is that they returned it to me in about a week with a new extractor that fits flush (see photos.) It now doesn't have any failures to extract. As far as the failures to feed and go into battery, I took apart the recoil spring/guide rod and changed out the spring for an 18 pound spring from a Gen3 Glock 19 and...Viola! Now the pistol will feed, eject, and go into battery with any ammo. Overall, this is a very soft shooting pistol that is accurate and takes aftermarket Glock sights (such as the meprolight ones in my photos.) It was easy for my son to learn on and the grip is very comfortable. For the price, I'm very happy with this purchase.
After FMK installed a new extractor.
Original extractor when purchased.

Great after break in, Mags cause most problems!
I have owned three Gen 2's and I just ordered another one at this GREAT discount price! These need to be cleaned BEFORE you start shooting, take them down and put a good scrubbing on this pistol. You then need to run a couple of hundred rounds through it and you will see it start to settle in. IF it doesn't, these mags can cause problems. I sent 2 back and received two that ran fine. I will be the first to agree, most guns should not need this kind of treatment, but at this price, you will end up with a dependable pistol. Light loads will cause problems at first. They look good and feel really comfortable in the hand. Stick with them and the Gen2 will shoot as good as it looks! RH

Great pistol when it goes bang!
Buyer beware. I bought one a few months ago.
Before I ever fired a shot, it would not go into battery. After I shot, would not go into battery. I contacted customer service and the sent me a new extractor. After I bought a punch set, I swapped it out. That seemed to solve the problem, fingers crossed. A for good customer service, F for not having a working pistol out of the box.
