A.R. 15 magazines, label your 5.56 magazines and your 300 blackout magazines and do not get them mix up also label your rifles with stickers you can find on eBay that look great on your PSA rifle kit!

I have thought of this - right now all I have is 5.56/.223 - so not problem. If I build a 300bo I might do the gun in some color and use magpul magazines in that color for it. (so nobody in the family or friends gets them confused)

yep, I have 2 ar’s, a 5.56 and a 7.62x39. Fortunately the mags look very different and I have the rifles set up for different purposes. It’s still good to id everything though, especially if you have two cartridges that are similar like the 300 blkout and .223/5.56 or the x39 and grendle.
This has got me thinking since it is a problematic issue needing to be addressed. Here’s what I’m thinking:
- paint the exposed part of the 300 blk mags with a sandy-textured “primer” to allow you to feel the difference right away in case it’s dark
- get/make a stencil and spray 300blk on them, sort of like camo, for visual ID
My 5.56 mags are FDE
My 300 Blackout mags are black.
