My rifle came with one 5.56 AC Unity 30 round mag, and I bought some additional ones on the daily deal price.

Question…

The mag holds the bolt open on last shot when empty, like an AR would. But when you drop the empty mag, the bolt then slams closed.

So what’s the point? Am I missing something?

Otherwise mags seem good.

It’s be a pretty good indicator of an empty mag if your not keeping a round count in your head.

True. Just confirming that the bolt slamming home when you remove the mag is the mag working as expected?

The AK platform doesn’t have a bolt catch. Those mags have additional material on the follower to catch the bolt while the mag is inserted. The CMMG .22LR conversion kit for the AR 5.56 does essentially the same thing.
