The first two times I disassembled and reassembled the AK, I had so much trouble putting the gas tube lever to sit properly. I looked to YouTube and forums to see if anyone had a solution, I came to the conclusion that the Magpul gas tube handguard was the issue.
The solution you ask? Just sand it down little by little until you can get it back in place.
If you have issues with yours i suggest first taking off the handguard and putting the gas tube without it to see what’s going on.
