Much like the title says. This is less of a question and more of a suggestion. Theres a lot of people that enjoy the AK-P and all it has to offer. Very high quality (American) made AK. I love all of mine.
I prefer AK-Ps to Zastava short barrels.
I am aware of others much like myself…including individuals that have just recently (again) bought an AK-P but would want options in different calibers in this model AK such as 556 or 300 blk.
It wouldn’t be too crazy of a thing to do and it would give me and many others cough - ‘excuses’ to buy more AAC ammo
Maybe in the future but they havent mentioned doing that. Unfortunately the AK market is pretty dead until import ammo is available and/or the powder shortage decreases. The AK shined when ammo was cheap. But now 5.56 is back under $10/box and ARs are $400. To make an AK-P in new calibers will require new tooling as well as testing and all that takes time and money.
One more thing on the topic of AKs. Don’t see another thread topic for this specifically.
I know PSA makes an RPK with a romanian parts kit. I see both the barrel and receiver for it are PSA made and everything else is Romanian parts kit stock. Is it too far out maybe to have it all PSA made and not a parts kit? That one wouldn’t be too far fetched no?
All those types can go jog. They will always have something to say or complain about. I know what you speak of too. PSA makes good stuff and I know it. For years now.
Which is where I come from too when I talk or even ask questions - I’d prefer to spend my money at PSA (Highly). Always a good place when it comes from me.
I’ll end the topic here so search and indexing doesn’t get too far off if people search for stuff.
