On my Combo gas block on my 104 GF4, the detent pin is offset to the (facing down the barrel) “10 O’clock” position. Now with my SA-2 brake, it has 3 notches for it to be able to line up and be timed with the ports at the 12 O’clock position. But with most other brakes, the notch is in the 12 O’clock position which means that the devices will always be timed at an offset angle and not the correct way. I’m not counting anything like a 4 piece Bulgarian type flash hider or that type. I have a Barwarus brake that has two notches, but with either one, the devices doesn’t time correctly and is at an offset. What options do I have other than being limited to flash cans or the SA-2 brake?
Have a gunsmith make a new notch in the brake for you?

Here are the ones PSA offers. Have you tried the ALG (if the thread pattern is correct for you)?
This is exactly the reason for the “Timing” of the spring detent and notch on AK barrels.
Whether or not it’s a real Thing, is debatable. But the Soviets were Evil - not Stupid.
