I just got an ARV and upon messing around with the controls I noticed the bolt release will physically not move with the charging handle locked back and a mag inserted. Take the mag out and I can pull the charging handle back slide the button up to lock the bolt back and down to release it no problem. Im assuming in theory it should function to charge the next round after lrbho and you insert another mag right? Has anybody else had to send theirs back in for this and what was the fix?
I had to oil mine when i got it. It broke in after a few uses.
I tried that unless i didnt do it correctly but the lever functions fine without the mag. Im not understanding what blocks it. I oiled where the lever slides up and down at the bolt is that the spot?
What do you mean by having the charging handle locked back? It should freely slide forward or backwards whether you have the bolt locked back or not. Is that what you mean?
If you have an empty mag inserted and the bolt locked back, the follower on the mag is going to keep the bolt back as it is supposed to do. You can press that lever all you want and it won’t go forward because the mag follower is holding it.
Yeah I mean when the bolt is locked back. The charging handle itself is always free of course. The bolt should be released by the lever when a mag is inserted I thought whether there is a full mag or not but it still doesnt work even when I put a loaded mag in.
It should work with a loaded mag, not with an empty mag. Post up some pics with an empty mag and the upper removed (looking down from the top). Maybe something is binding.
That looks fine. You said without a mag it functions fine, correct? If that is the case, it sounds like a mag issue. Are these PSA mags or CZ Scorpion mags?
Its weird because with the upper off (or bolt taken out and upper closed) the lever works with a mag. Also with the bolt back in the lever works but will not function with everything back normal loaded mag or not
Tried several mags all psa
Im wondering if its the bolt like its not shaved enough
Ok, are there any rubbing marks on the left side of the bolt (side opposite the ejection port? Wondering if the ejector is rubbing or may need some adjustment.
That looks fine other than being dry. You may need to give CS a call.
Does just putting in an email request work for an rma or is calling them the best way
I would call.
I did they dont help over the phone she said I have to wait for corespondence via email so I sent in an rma request. Thanks for your help I’ll let you know what they do.
Day 5 and still no call back. Starting to get concerned that they are either so far behind they wont get back to me for several more days or even worse. Either way its pointless to have a lifetime warranty if you cant get your gun fixed. I feel like if you have something defective out of the box they should be swapping it out or at least responding to customers in a timely manner.
You must submit for an RMA on the help page. If it’s successful you will get an automated email saying your request was received and to wait for an RMA number.
Usually within a day or two a real person will email you and give you an RMA number and they will either attach the the prepaid shipping label in that email or you’ll get an Email from UPS with yhe prepaid shipping label.
Once they sent me the label and the other time UPS sent the label.
If you sent the RMA request and dont get an automated email right away saying your request was received then you jeed to do it again. I had an issue once where they didn’t get anything in the system and I was basically waiting for nothing.
Calling wont help, CS can no longer process your request over the phone like they did in the past. They will only email you the link to the help page.
Edit: I say all that because I did the same. After 7 days of being patient I called and she said nothing was in their system. I tried again and got the email right away. Thats when I realized that the previous week when I submitted a claim that I never got that automated email.
