New AR-V bolt won't move past mag

I’m new to the AR-CV community. I was very excited to get my new 7" AR-V “MP-5 and AR-9 hybrid”. When testing magazine fit, I cycle the bolt, and it won’t move past the metal lip on the rear side of the mag. I tried the PSA mag that came with it, a new ETS mag, and a Magpul EV9 mag. Always the same issue. Is this user error? What am I missing? Image attached.

I’m pretty sure it’s the “last round bolt hold open”. All you then have to do is put in a new mag and hit the bolt release button on the left side of the pistol. Try the bolt catch release with an empty mag - it works on mine. Hopefully that works for you!

And you can try it with snap caps also to make sure it will feed a live round.

Zooming in on the picture the bolt is definitely making contact with the bolt catch, as it should with an empty magazine.
