It’s not a matter of swapping. It’s a matter of your hearing problems. If you still hear a certain range you get over the ear. The more intense your disability becomes the more likely of in the ear. You DO NOT want in the ear if you don’t need them. It will make your problem worse.
My Phonak aides from the VA are IPX rated. If they die from getting wet Phonak will replace them at no cost to the government for two years.
After my military time I worked in the medical field for almost 30 years. I love helping people manage to get through the system if I can. No veteran should go without anything that they need!
I was offered the in ears last visit and stupidly turned them down. My current ones are battery powered and the only adjustability I have is a volume control but then again they are about 10 years old so I’m pretty sure I can get an upgrade.
The VA saved my life before my liver transplant when I was without health insurance.
I’ve been to them over the years for this and that but never used them more because I’ve had insurance.
Now that I’m disabled and on Medicare I need to utilize their services more but it’s not so easy being a transplant patient.
I will definitely reach out to you if I have any questions @fsuscotsman and thank you for the offer.
Just curious about what you did in the medical field?
Thank you for your service
I was a jack of all trades really. Not a practitioner of any type, but I did research, helped with legislation, guided people through the minefield of medical bureaucracy and even did a little investigation of corruption work.
Don’t worry about it. If taking a detour helps you and others then I am all for it. It doesn’t really matter. I went ahead and ordered a pair of ear buds so feel free to continue your discussion.
