My understanding is no handgun parts at all.
Wow some of these shipping policies from âPro-2aâ manufacturers seem mighty arbitrary lol
Spank your State Legislation and Governor.
There are no CA state regulations preventing the sale of these handgun parts in CA⌠this is purely a PSA policy. California has restrictions on what handgun frames can be sold but not these type of parts (slides, etcâŚ). This is an anti-2A policy that PSA has taken so please donât blame it on CA legislators, they have enacted many absurd laws, PSA is just joining the party and adding their own restrictions that have no legal basis.
So Guv Grewsome & Associates is Cool with you buying parts for non-listed guns?
As I said - Blame your own Government.
The Owner of PSA has stated Publicly on multiple occasions that his Goal is to Arm Americans. Nothing I have ever seen from the company makes me believe it has acted contrary to the stated goal.
If PSA is refusing to sell to your state, it is either because of the laws within that imaginary dotted-line make it Illegal - or because the Government within that dotted-line makes Legal sale virtually impossible for buyer or seller due to a Belligerent, Persecutive Business-Environment.
Yes you can buy parts for non listed guns. You can buy complete non-listed guns on the secondary market, just canât buy them new from a dealer. Agency, Zev and virtually every other manufacturer I can think of sells their slides in CA. To my knowledge PSA is the only company that wonât ship there.
Itâs not just CA theyâre hitting with these arbitrary policies either⌠PSA also doesnât ship to Puerto Rico. Every Puerto Rican is US citizen and the FFLs there are licensed and regulated by the ATF exactly like stateside. No ârosterâ of approved handguns there, no AW restrictions, no magazine restrictions and tons of US dealers ship guns and parts there. USPS doesnât even consider PR an international shipment so there are no special forms required, just use Priority Mail like CONUS.
Thatâs great that PSA makes pro-2A statements but thereâs also a saying about judging a man by his actions not words.
Their legal basis is protecting the company from leftist politicians like the ones in CA who trample on peopleâs rights.
There is a reason California is the ONLY state with its own âshipping restrictionâ category.
Thereâs a lot of legalese in shipping gun stuff to CA and it keeps getting worse. Itâs ridiculous.
I absolutely agree that CA has a ton of ridiculous laws and anti-gun politicians but most other firearms manufacturers seem to do business there just fine.
And the Puerto Rico restriction is just nuts, itâs a US territory and they are all US citizens. I live there most of the year and there are tons of gun enthusiasts, FFLs, shooting events etcâŚ
I dont work in their compliance dept but something had led to the restrictions.
The short answer is itâs not worth the trouble.
I donât know what kind of business you are in but sometimes you have to fire the customer, the state of California.
@townsend.christian
Well itâs def an interesting approach when the companyâs stated goal is âto arm Americansâ. There are 39 million US citizens living in the state.
Certainly makes life easier for the anti-gun politicians when a gun manufacturer decides âitâs too much troubleâ. Hopefully Glock, Sig, FN, Springfield etc. continue to make arms available to the people that live there. Seems like the righteous thing to do if you truly believe in the 2nd Amendment.
For clarification I do not work nor have any affiliation to PSA other than being a customer. I was simply voicing my opinion.
My thought on this is that since Sacramento bans âghost gunsâ PSA will not ship anything that could work with any p80 or similar frame. Just a thought. I dont work for PSA, just moderate the forums.
Who knows what theyâre thinking. There are millions of Glocks in California and over the past 20 years Iâve ordered countless glock parts from out of state retailers and never had an issue before PSA.
Part of the reason I moved to Puerto Rico is because they donât have the ridiculous gun laws I was dealing with in California my whole life so the PSA policy of not shipping there is mega frustrating. Seems like 80% of retailers ship gun parts and optics there to individuals no problem. I frequently have guns shipped to my local FFL there with USPS just like in CONUS. Itâs a US territory and everyone that lives there is a US citizen come on now!!
Ugh Iâm just really frustrated because I was trying to order a Dagger slide for my wife and planned to do that while visiting family in CA over the holidays. Super bummed
Thou doth protest too much.
Freedom to a clearly anti-freedom CA Weâre gonna dictate what the the rest of the country does via CA prop 65 warnings on the whole country. Some of us get it.
