I have had no health updates on Greg since my last update.
I believe Greg’s wife will set up a GoFundMe.
She said she will try to do it this weekend. I know she’s got her hands full…
Let me know as approval to post that will be needed. I will work on that end.
Got the word this afternoon. No vaccine or testing requirements. The insurance surcharge is being evaluated and a decision will be made in a couple of days.
I’m good to go. Still have a ongoing cough but have been fever free since Wed morning.
Update
Greg continues to respond to the incremental changes (reductions) to his sedation levels, and oxygen levels on to his ventilator. These changes are very small.
No timeframe mentioned to remove the ventilator, or discontinue sedation. No mention of the infection he was battling, so I will assume that is good news.
I wish I had more…
This is exactly what I needed on a Monday morning. I was out all last week to take care of some personal stuff and never made the time to get on and look at everything. This was the first post I looked for. His progress is a relief to all of us, I can only imagine how his wife is feeling. I’m not sure if anything has been brought up on the PSA side about support, but I’ll chat with the other moderators and see if there’s anything we are able to do.
As for everyone else. Hopefully all are mild cases. My house dealt with Omni the week before Christmas. My wife had horrible body aches and a fever for a day or two, then a cough that lasted about a week. Luckily for my kids, she was the only one that seemed to catch it.
there are a lot of us that want to help.
i cannot agree with you more. I’ve been fortunate so far by dodging the covid… my oncologist states it would be a very very bad thing if i were to get it because of the cancer,chemo and my weakened immune system in general. So lets just say i do just about as much as i can to try to be protected enough to keep me from contracting it. Its the last thing i want. that is for sure.
i kinda agree with you here. i’ve thought about it alot and feel that it is a mankind engineered virus and was somehow able to escape from the lab in china, and well with china we dont get any straight answers from them anyways, so if they did develop it they wouldnt say so, and if they had a cure they wouldnt say so, and if it was an accident or on purpose release they wouldnt say so either… yeah i know it sounds a bit conspiracy theorist thoughts, but well maybe it is… maybe it isnt…

@GuitarGuy glad you’re feeling better and over this second bout of covid. talk about scary.
@Rocky when do you think you will have another update about Greg? I’ll continue to pray for him and his wife for now, but id love to hear another update.

Caught it on Christmas day, whole family ended up getting it I just got over it, it was def something new I’ve never had before. High grade fever for a few days, moves to chest, senses gone, lasted a 2-3 weeks. Senses are still not back, its taking forever.
My ma has cancer and been going to chemo and is doing alright but got sick as well after Christmas. Kinda messed her up but she bounced back and is doing good, so keep your head and your will up man. 
Super weird virus if I must say. Its def engineered and the vaccine has been in the works prior to covid happening, A money grab if you will. Sucks we have to be the Guinea pigs of this global experiment. Pfizer is a pretty terrible company.
My senses returned within a couple weeks but my sense of smell is still not right. Gasoline for one just doesn’t smell the same. I’ve had others tell me the same thing, about different smells.
I heard one “expert” say that is one hallmark of an engineered virus. He claimed that loss of senses doesn’t occur with natural viruses.
Never trust any information that comes out of China. They are Godless Communists who I believe intentionally released this as an experiment that got out of hand.
The smell of natural gas is the death of me 
Never bothered me pre Covid. They’ve explained to me as such that so many nerve receptors in my nasal cavity died, that my brain is relearning what things smell like as these receptors regenerate
It sucks. I hate it
I have asked again about helping, and offered her options besides the GoFundMe to protect their anonymity
I have contacted her, we’ll see what she says.

UPDATE
Through several conversations over the last few days with Greg’s wife regarding their privacy and protecting their best interests, it looks as though she will be setting up a PO Box for people to send donations directly to her, made out directly to her.
I really didn’t want any involvement in any of that, I just wanted to help in the least invasive way possible. At this point all I have is Greg’s number and his wife’s name. That’s plenty…
My big issue was protecting their anonymity given Greg’s extensive and valuable collection. While I trust the members here, this forum can be browsed by anyone without logging in. I didn’t want that info out there for anyone to exploit.
I asked how he was doing, but didn’t hear back.
I will provide any and all updates as they’re passed along, and provided it doesn’t violate any forum rules, I think I’ll have members just contact me via private message and I’ll pass along the PO Box and mailing info. That will create a paper trail for anyone requesting their info.
That work @GuitarGuy? If not, let me know how we can make this work.

the po box is a great idea. and is probably the least possible to leak personal info. once we hear back from the PSA folks we can move forward hopefully.
