As the question title, wanted to know if there are non 7.62x39 uppers that can be compatible with the KS47 gen 2 lower.
The lower is a bit pricey, so wanted to understand if it can host uppers with other calibers (6.5 grendel or others). Of course if the modifications required to make to the lower are above 100bucks, than in the current climate – it is easier to get another lower.
Uppers will work but you will have to find a round that works with the mags.
GG nails it. the biggest thing with the ks47 as we all know, is the ability to use AK mags.. therefore, whatever caliber your hoping to use in the upper, you’d have to be able to load into an ak profile magazine and be sure it feeds fine in a standard ak platform too id wager, cause thats essentially what the ks is.. its specifically an AK in an ar format. interestingly im unsure if the KS47 bolt carrier is the same as the AR-47 style bolt carrier as the KS is actually marked for the KS alone.. i.e. mine is etched with KS-47 specificallly on the bolt.
