Featureless Dagger slides?

What happened to all the “regular” Dagger slides?

They did closeout sales on them.

so… there not gonna make those models anymore?

I know, right? Not every gun I get needs the tall sights and a threaded barrel, or fancy holes; and some will never have an electronic site.

Some of my stuff is actually basic.

From what I understand it’s just the non optic cut models. So they’d still have a mostly plain carry cut slide, but with the optic cut on it. They come with a cover plate too. I guess some don’t like the look of it, but function over form for me.

I do wish they’d make a carry cut slide with the rear sight forward of the optic. I don’t care for the holes in the slide on the one I have. Hasn’t caused an issue, yet. But it’s my more duty style gun.

the rmr cut is a mechanical burden to those who don’t want it. also if aesthetics weren’t important they wouldn’t have made all the variations of slide cuts in the first place. they got it right the very first time, og daggers rip

at the very least the rmr plate should come already properly installed not in a separate bag… also i had wrong screw sizes and wrong rmr plate for a Dr cut slide… lots of complicated things that on my recent slides were all avoided plus they came with nights

OG Daggers RIP indeed, like all good things, your time here was to short.

Aesthetics are important for some. But for function, they are not. Never said they weren’t important, just that I choose function over form.

Do what? Make the plain non lightening cut slides with the rear sight forward of the optic? Meaning toward the muzzle? Cause before and well after purchasing my SW2 slide, I looked at every single page of the optic cut Dagger’s and have yet to see that option available. Plain no holes slide, optic cut, irons forward.

No your right, I didn’t see you want a plain jane.

Very sad for those who had/have no interest in optics. Nevertheless, I got mine, which is apparently now going to become rarer over time.

personally ive come to find that while a optic is neat on a pistol, its not what i will run on all of mine. so having a few with them is ok, but i’d rather buy slides without the option, or if it has to have the option, it should come with a matched plate to make it look like theres not the option there… so that i can run my iron sites like i want and be happy

Exactly this

Fancy is cool and all. I have fancy.

But when I want a piece of metal that gooes boom. Well that’s exactly what I want. A piece of metal that goes boom. I don’t want bells, whistles, prisms or ports.

I just want 3 dots and boom stick.

I agree on the plain basic slide.
I did get one on clearance for the dagger and also one for the Rock.
I have a dagger and rock with optic slides etc. as well
But the 2 basic slide guns are my go to favorites to shoot.

I have changed my mind on this for one reason, after a sudden shower thought, after being dead tired from airsoft.
If I want to direct mount a Holosun 509T, or an EPS on a Dagger, I now have no option to. There were companies that would mill the plain Daggers.
