That knife is a Cold Steel Frenzy, a Christmas gift from my wife.
The green shirt is the Cool Runnings (yes that Jamaican bobsled team movie 
) from Dixxon Flannel in Chandler, Arizona.
Those are nice shirts and knives. Sadly my allowance goes to ammunition and gun parts. I wear rags. My t shirts can be used to clean guns as well. The struggle is real.
First new shirts I’ve bought in about 3 years.
I have reached the point guns and parts are an expensive want vs a practical need. Yes, this was a dip into toy money, foregoing a spotting scope w/tripod and nightvision prchases. Plus the wife said you need new clothes, go ahead adnd get some new shirts.
When the wife says I need new clothes I rotate my clothes and cut up new gun rags. I don’t dress myself. As a good domesticated animal I am well behaved.
I’ve had clothes in my closet that still had their sales tag on for years before I use it. Because priorities.
I do have a nice suit from JC Penny that I would like to wear to my cremation ceremony.

your wife has good taste on the knife. and the shirt, well its as ool as the movie and their bobsled
i’ve not yet decided on cremation or internment in a coffin, but either way, i never liked suits and what not, so why should i dress for eternity in something i dont like wearing? if its up to me i want one of my most comfortable t-shirts and most comfortable shorts. along with crocks to wear with socks. (to keep my toeses warm)

I believe everything that you said but- being well behaved… You are like me. I do have some nice clothes but being very hot natured I prefer shorts and a t shirt. Even in the 50’s I will start sweating wearing shorts and a t shirt if I am doing something that isn’t even strenuous. My next door neighbor will be wearing long pants and a coat and I will be in my normal shorts and t shirt. He just laughs at me and tells me that I am crazy. I always laugh back and say, “intestinal fortitude my good man.”
HAHAHAHAHA…You don’t really believe everything you read on the internet do you? Do you? I am really a librarian. This is just my internet persona. I detest guns. I would never get my delicate well manicured hands on those nasty things eeewwww. I still wear a mask and just got my weekly COVID-19 booster.
Yeah I am really starting to like fall and winter more. I once had a tolerance for heat. When I had a career I was working often in 130-140 degree heat and wasn’t really bothered. Even in full kit and body armor. Now if it gets above 85 degrees I’m sweating like a chocolate cake in a dark room full of fat people.
I remember those days. I also remember coming out of mopp 4 and literally pouring sweat out of my gas mask, my rubber gloves and overboots. It would be 100° outside and when you first took off all of your protective gear you would get a quick feeling of a chill because it was so much cooler in 100° heat than being in all of your mopp gear.
In my mind thinking of you dressing up reminds me of seeing a friend dressed up that you have never before seen cleaned up and dressed up. You either think man he cleans up better than I ever thought that he would or you think- you can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig. So which one would it be?
Back in the day I could make my dress greens and blues look good. I didn’t have a stomach. I did wear my suit to some funerals recently and it felt very formal.
I have told my wife to get the cheapest cardboard box that she can find that I fit in and have them put me in it. Then throw my butt in the big BBQ and be done with it. Clean out a plastic Dukes mayonnaise jar and have them put my remains in it. After you are done looking at my ashes dig a hole and pour me in it and plant a peach tree in the hole on top. Then at least in death my body’s remains can fertilize the tree. Eat a peach and think of me.

I had to buy my blues and I didn’t mind wearing my blues. They were much higher quality than the polyester greens were. To me the greens just looked like a decorated zoot suit.
You can get them both tailored made. When I got my commission I had my greens and blues tailored. Now they are hanging up never to be worn by me not in this current state.
