To date, I’ve yet to have any issues with the 10 mags that shipped with my Dagger
Good news. Welcome aboard btw.
Welcome to the forum!
Not one hiccup for me either running Pmag 15 round and 2 hiccups on stick mags (recently on 2 FM9).
Welcome to the forum! Good to hear of your experience with those mags.
Unless we’re talking AR’s, I think Pmags suck. Whether Glock, or AK47/74, I don’t like them. I mean in my experience they feed rounds pretty reliably, which is the most important thing, but their fitment sucks. They’re the hardest magazine to get to lock securely in an AK, and when load fully they won’t drop free of a Glock based gun without physically pulling them out do to them swelling from being loaded up.
I’ve had OEM Glock mags do the same thing sometimes. I did work on the frame though and slicked it up and had no issues with either mag. The weight when loaded drops them free regardless for me, and when empty neither mag stays bulged.
I’ve found their AK mags to be rather easy to lock in to an AK, in terms of not missing the locking lug at all. It is just slightly tight cause of that in the AK I tried, My friend has some yugo or polish polymer mags I think, and those actually require a LOT of force to get them to lock in and charge the gun, while the pmags cause no issue.
Each gun is an individual and has it’s own tolerances even within a product line. But my Pmags work fine in all my AR’s, my friend’s one AK, and my one Glock, two 80% frames, and my two Daggers.
And for anyone saying their OEM Glock mag hasn’t failed to lock open, you haven’t shot them enough. Those springs will wear with round count. I’ve had it happen on one mag so I just went ahead and bought an extension with a new spring.
America is still blessed by God and privileged enough that we can still haggle over our preferences of magazines, while most in Ukrainians are happy to have any magazine full of ammo. My point savor it while you can, because with all the growig corruption and rampant violence, magazines will be the least of our problems.
This is why I am going to stay within the Glock Platform. One day I am hoping to have multiple glock 43x/micro daggers, a glock 17/19 and some daggers, and a bunch of extra mags/parts/ammo.
My only Glock is an LE turn-in, in almost new condition that came with the box and 4 factory magazines. The fact that its 40SW make it a little more special IMO. But its so huge a gun compared to what we now carry, Im thinking getting a rifle chassis for it.
19 is the best selling gun ever produced. Dagger or anything that use interchangeable parts is a smart move ![]()
I have a glock 48, 17.5, and a micro dagger slide. I think a micro dagger frame and a glock 19/dagger is a good start towards my arsenal. I didn’t get into guns until Jan of last year.
I have 4 Pmags I use at the range in my glock 17. I think i must be at like 1100 rounds through them without a single malfunction. I assume they are G2G but if you can afford a Glock OEM mag i would carry it probably.
I’ve not once seen a loaded Glock magazine in any caliber fail to drop out the magwell due to bulge from being loaded to capacity. I’ve fired fully loaded OEM Glock mags that had been sitting loaded to capacity for years, and never had one fail to function properly.
I own a bunch of AK magazines of all sorts. Probably 4-5 from Magpul. Both 47 and 74 Pmags take more work to get the rear lug to fully lock than any other AK mags I own including Tapco. I’ll take pretty much any surplus AK magazine over a Magpul magazine, and I’ve got Russian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Romanian, Polish, etc, steel, bakelite, polymer, polymer reinforced, clear, black, plum, brown, and so on. My preferred domestic AK mag is U.S. Palm, but I can’t remember if I have any of their newer magazines or not. With this said I’ve never had an AK, or my KS47 for that matter fail to work due to a magazine not feeding, so yes my AK Pmags do feed my AK’s, but they are my least favorite AK magazine by far.
At the gunshow today I was looking around for a Glock 19 mag. Couldn’t find one and it was a pretty big show. There was 5 different tables selling tons of mags, not 1 Glock G19 mag. ![]()
Dunkelburgers had a few day ago but they were pricey !
I haven’t been into Dunkelburgers in years. Spending too much for a mag isn’t worth the drive for me, especially since Tall Timber Tactical (the promoters of that gun show) is literally right around the corner from me. Heck, I have 3 gun shops within a 5 minute drive from me. ![]()
is tall timber running out of his house on 447 or out of that little shop by th mountainhome diner or both now?
I have multiple Glock & Magpuls for my 3 Daggers. To date all have functioned & dropped free w/o problem. However, for now I’ll continue to use my Glock mags for ‘serious social work’, especially since those particular mags remain loaded 24/7.

I’ve been very pleased with PMAGs for the AR and AK platforms. I found no problems at all with Magpul magazines when I had a WASR and then a ZPAP M70. I have a short-stroke gas-piston AR and all I use in it at the moment are PMAGs.
I have had nagging, intermittent problems with GL9 PMAGs for some strange reason. Not frequently enough to trash them, but often enough that I only use them at the range.
