I have years of experience with rifles and shotguns but little with handguns. I will be buying a 9mm for home defense. I have never used a firearm without a manual safety. Can someone explain the safety system on the Dagger? I want to make sure I will be comfortable with whatever I buy. I will also get a CWP and carry occasionally.
The trigger shoe is hinged. The trigger is prevented from moving to the rear unless equal pressure is applied to the bottom and top half of the trigger. There is no thumb safety on the dagger.
Is it considered strange that I like a thumb Saftey?! Hahaha
I mean, it doesn’t matter either way, but that’s something I actually look for. I feel like this is strange considering technically these days
You apparently were under a rock when they passed out good manners. If you don’t have anything to add to the topic please feel free to keep your fingers off the reply button.
Not necessarily. My M&P45 gen1 has ambidextrous thumb safeties in addition to the hinged trigger. Also my M&P9 5" has thumb safeties. My Shield has a tiny nub, don’t really use it.
I can take or leave a thumb safety, but they exist in the polymer frame, striker fired world.
